This Privacy Policy explains how Convert2Files ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our website and file conversion tools. We built Convert2Files around a simple principle: you shouldn't have to hand over your data just to convert a file. This policy describes what we collect, how it's used, and how your files are handled.

Files You Upload

When you use a conversion tool, your file is uploaded temporarily for the sole purpose of performing the requested conversion.
We do not review, scan the contents of, or use your files for any purpose other than completing the conversion you requested.
Converted files are made available for download and are automatically deleted afterward. Files that are never downloaded are also automatically removed after a short retention window.
We do not require an account to use our tools, and we do not permanently store your files.

Third-Party Processing

Some conversions are performed using trusted third-party processing services (such as CloudConvert) to handle the technical conversion work. When you use these tools, your file is transmitted securely to the relevant service for processing and the result is returned to you. These providers have their own data handling and retention practices, and files processed through them are subject to their respective retention periods, which are typically short-term and used only to complete the conversion.

We choose processing partners who are transparent about their data practices and who do not use uploaded files for purposes beyond completing the requested task.

Information We Collect Automatically

Usage data: like most websites, we may collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and general usage patterns to help us understand how our tools are used and to improve them.

What We Don't Do

We don't sell your personal information or file contents to third parties.
We don't require you to create an account or provide personal details to use our core tools.
We don't keep your converted files longer than necessary to deliver your download.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we encourage users not to upload files containing highly sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers or financial account details) unless necessary.
